ROSSELLA CALELLA CARAMIA
Rossella Calella Caramia is an electroacoustic music composer and video artist.
In 2023 she achieved her bachelor degree in Electronic Music (110/110 summa cum laude) at the Conservatory "Niccolò Piccinni" in Bari, Italy.
She attended composition seminars with Reinhard Febel, Achim Bornhoeft, Elio Martusciello.
Since 2017 is part of the research group "Sin[x]Thésis", founded and directed by M° Francesco Scagliola.
Her research interests are the new and unconventional digital sound production techniques, audio-video interaction and glitch art.
In 2022 she composed the soundtrack for the radio drama “Delitti Capitali,” by Nicolas Joos, produced by the Swiss Radiotelevision RSI. Her compositions have been selected and performed in various Italian and foreign festivals and conferences, among others: ICMC - International Computer Music Conference (Shenzen, 2023), SICMF - Seoul International Computer Music Festival (Seoul, 2023), NYCEMF - New York City International Computer Music Festival (New York, 2023), MANTIS Festival (Manchester, 2023), Atemporánea Festival (Buenos Aires, 2023), MA/IN - Matera Intermedia (Matera, 2023), Silence (Bari, 2022), CRM - Centro Ricerche Musicali (Rome, 2021, 2022, 2023), Futura Festival (Crest, 2021, 2023).
In 2022 she won the 16th National Prize of the Arts in the "Electronic Music and New Technologies" section organized by the Italian Ministry of University and Research.
